Jackie and Joe had a spectacular wedding at the San Diego Botanical Gardens which is where I was actually married and is still one of my favorite places to film. The effort they put into the details and their very personal vows really made for an exceptional wedding. Of course Joe’s moves on the dance floor helped too.

Roman & Irina Highlights from Lloyd Films on Vimeo.

After having so much fun filming Roman and Irina’s love story, we knew the actual wedding would be even more fun. Not only did the ceremony on the roof of the Manchester Grand Hyatt look amazing, but we also had a lots of time to take photos and video in Little Italy, which is always a great place to film. Having previously filmed another Russian Jewish wedding before I was really looking forward to their unique wedding traditions, and all around passion for life and big events like this. We were not disappointed. What a blast!

Kathryne & Michael’s wedding was a veritable tour of the San Diego Bay. We started at the Sheraton, had the ceremony at Centennial Park on Coronado and then spent the reception touring the bay on a boat beneath a champagne sunset. Their energy, passion and love for each other and all of their friends and family was truly infectious and inspiring.

Melissa and David had beautiful wedding over looking the San Diego Bay at the Bali Hai Restaurant. BTW, for some reason the San Diego evening skyline makes for some amazing backgrounds at that location. Anyway, Melissa and her bridesmaids were a lot of fun and up for just about any crazy video / photo adventure we could devise, which always makes for great footage. What a blast!

Roman & Irina’s heavy-weight domestic rivalry video was a knock out for the wedding guests when it was played before their grand entrance. Filming it was a welcome diversion from the usual love story fare and allowed for a lot of creativity with the boxing theme. Their wedding at the Manchester Grand Hyatt was as beautiful as it was fun. Russian – Ukrainian weddings are always a blast for us to shoot being grand events of infectious energy and enthusiasm, with an old-world charm and modern zest for life. Personally, I think we should stop tapping our glasses to get the couple to kiss, and instead adopt the Russian custom of everyone chanting “Gor’ko! Gor’ko! Gor’ko!” Anyway, we will post the hightights as soon as we can, and you can judge for yourself. Congratulations Roman & Irina! (see their wedding video highlights too!)

What do you get when two talented creatives tie the knot? Nikki & Aaron’s fabulously unique, musical matrimonial event, of course. Aaron brought a full cadre of musicians / groomsmen to back him up for two incredibly catchy and romantic songs he wrote for Nikki (I couldn’t stop humming those tunes for days. ) Throw in a lively bridal party, gorgeous decor and you have all the ingredients for a beautiful event.

We had a great time filming Lindsay and Steve’s wedding. Steve’s friends and family from the East Coast were a riot of fist pumping energy and fun. One of the best moments has got to be the ring being tossed from the pews (and caught, thankfully) during the ceremony. Nice catch Mike!

Kyle and Brooke had a beautifully authentic, country wedding in Julian, Ca, at Brooke’s parent’s horse ranch. The deep blue skies and golden, oak-spotted hills were a refreshing change of pace. Friends and family all pitched in to put together a very unique and personalized wedding. Kyle, being a firefighter, and an all around great guy, managed to pull off 2 fire engine chauffeurs that delivered the whole wedding party to the reception. What a blast!

We had a lot of fun filming Andrea and Sean’s love story. Sean may have one of the most creative and well – orchestrated wedding proposals i’ve ever heard about. With months of careful planning, counter intelligence, subterfuge, and a lot of romance, Sean was able to catch Andrea totally off guard, woo her, and get a ring on that finger. Good job man!

We also had a blast shooting their wedding and hope to get the highlights up soon. The crowd went nuts over the love story video which is always a lot of fun for us to see.

Congratulations guys!

Anna & Ryan Wedding Highlights from Lloyd Films on Vimeo.

Anna and Ryan had a very memorable wedding at the Omni Hotel in San Diego. Not only did Ryan score a home run at Petco Park, (see the video for proof), but held his own, speaking Russian at the reception, which to my ear is no small feet. I have yet to see a couple with so much energy, passion and enthusiasm for their photography, which always makes for a great wedding video. A truly international crowd, their guests hailed from places as far away as Russia, Australia and South Africa. But what was perhaps most inspiring was the intimacy and heart felt vows their wonderful Rabbi, David Kornberg read during the ceremony. Bravo guys! What a fabulous wedding!
